How It Started
Capital Golf Exchange began in Barrhaven, Ottawa, when three local golfers — Franklin and two other golfers saw a common problem: golf is an amazing sport, but getting started is expensive.
Many golfers want to try the game or upgrade their equipment but are discouraged by the high price of new clubs. We realized there was a better solution — high-quality pre-owned clubs that are carefully inspected, honestly described, and sold at prices that make sense.
In December 2021, the business became family-owned and operated, and today CGE continues to grow while staying true to its original goal: make golf more accessible and less intimidating for everyone.
Why We’re Different
Capital Golf Exchange is an online-only golf shop — we are not a walk-in retail store. Every club is sold through our website and prepared individually for the customer who purchases it.
Unlike many used-club websites, we do not use stock photos.
Every club is:
• Individually inspected
• Individually photographed
• Individually described
What you see online is the exact club you receive — no surprises.
Because we operate online and from our home facility instead of a retail storefront, we’re able to keep prices significantly lower than traditional golf shops while still providing personal service.

How Ordering & Pickup Works
All purchases are completed online through our website.
After checkout, customers can choose:
Shipping: We ship across Canada using trusted carriers.
Local Pickup: Customers in the Ottawa area can book a pickup appointment after purchase. Appointment scheduling instructions are provided once the order is placed.
Because we operate by appointment only, please note:
orders cannot be picked up without first completing an online purchase and booking a time slot.
